They really don’t ever stop, Joey Valence & Brae. It’s not even been a year since they last travelled the UK, and yet, they’re back again as the world tour for HYPERYOUTH keeps getting bigger. It’s impressive how this all seems to be continuing off their own backs, too. What started as a bedroom-ready hip-hop project has ballooned into the zeitgeist-conquering juggernaut that is Joey Valence & Brae in their current form. They’re louder and slicker, but the energy that’s almost felt punk since the beginning has gone unchanged. Nor has the dedication of those watching, or the feel that this is only going to keep getting bigger with each new jaunt. As they arrive in Liverpool, Will Robinson headed over to the O2 Academy to catch the action.
