It’s been a good year for Bob Vylan, no doubt, but has it been their year? Well, to limit it to that would discount the stream of momentum they’ve been building reliably for the last few. With their successes, the need for genre regimentation or the major label machine just seems archaic. So here they are, operating completely independently as one of the UK’s most impactful acts, taking on tours that, once upon a time, might only have been a pipe dream to those in their position.
With the similar punk-rap splicing of Hyphen in tow (as well as electro-punks CLT DRP who, unfortunately for us, the horrendous traffic into town puts paid to), Maryleen ventured over to Manchester’s Academy for us, to catch the era of the ‘Vylan continue at full speed.
