If you’ve been exposed to Dayglow in any way, it’s probably through Can I Call You Tonight? becoming one of the earlier smashes leveraged through TikTok traction. For plenty of acts around the same time, that’d be where their story began and ended, but Sloan Struble has kept his indie-pop kinda-band-but-not-really moving along at a decent clip. Further pandemic-era online momentum has undoubtedly helped, but consistent, well-received releases have kept Dayglow a fair distance from fizzling out, compared to so many of their contemporaries. With last year’s self-titled album as the latest example of that, their UK tour arrives in Manchester, and Dean Cavanagh headed over to check it out for us.
