The idea of seeing DMA’s in Manchester always seems impossibly fitting. With as influenced by Britpop as they are, especially Oasis, it’s basically a spiritual home for them, despite being from the literal other side of the world. But even more than that, tonight represents something quite special for Australia’s premier Gallagher-worshippers. They’re hear to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut Hills End, the album that’d put them on the map, never be topped again by them, but cement DMA’s as an indie staple for the 2010s onwards. For fans, it’s as good of an outcome as you could hope for, and Ben Whitehurst went down to check it out.
