PHOTOS: Better Lovers – Club Academy, Manchester – 19/01/2025

It goes without saying that Better Lovers are…well, loved. The component alumni of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die and Fit For An Autopsy speak for themselves; the resultant product when they come together is, similarly, phenomenal. And although ‘supergroup’ discourse is exceedingly dreary and played-out, Better Lovers represent an instance where there’s really no denying it. They are super, and as multiple jaunts to the UK in their short life would infer, the hardcore-listening public think so, too. So here they are again, this time for a full tour in some solidly sized rooms, bringing mathcore wizards Frontierer and progressive post-hardcore reliables Greyhaven for the whirlwind ride.
