We’re back in Delamere Forest for another of 2025’s Forest Live sessions, where the unique environment seems to have brought out some rather interesting participants. Tonight, it’s the turn of Busted, the perennial childhood faves of many that have since been retconned into one of the earliest bastions of UK pop-punk. That last part’s a little questionable, depending on who you ask, but it’s hard to deny the influence they’ve had overall. It’s also just nice to see them on fit form, having really launched back into prominence since their reunion a decade ago, and only gaining more steam since. Their co-headline arena tour with McFly later this year almost has an ‘event’ status because of that, and while tonight’s appearance is a much more low-key affair, Busted aren’t toning it down. With support from alt-rock lifers Twin Atlantic and pop-rock parvenus SOAP, Ben Whitehurst headed down to the woods to catch the action unfold.
