In case you hadn’t noticed, there’s a lot of acclaimed post-punk out there at the moment, though not for no reason. In the case of shame’s Cutthroat, it’s the kind of deepening of the well that this genre loves to partake in, and especially loves to praise when it takes off. And given shame have been an established bulwark in the scene for a while now, it’s no wonder they find themselves on a sizable UK tour with pulling power that remains strong. As they head into Manchester’s New Century Hall, Dean Cavanagh headed down to catch it all.
