You probably remember Of Monsters And Men for Little Talks, their global smash single that, in 2012, became a tentpole of the exploding indie-folk wave. As with so many of their contemporaries, that didn’t spin out into a sustained mainstream presence, but they didn’t just vanish altogether. Even if successes have predominantly come in their native Iceland, they’ve become a really interesting little indie-rock band whose following has maintained regardless. Tonight’s show at Manchester’s Albert Hall is sold out, in support of last year’s well-liked fourth album All Is Love And Pain In The Mouse Parade. Even if their charting days are over, Of Monsters And Men are far from over, as Ben Whitehurst captured.
