What more can be said about David Byrne that hasn’t already? The frontman of the Talking Heads; a pop music visionary in his own right; an artist whose influence only seems to have ballooned with time; it’s a well-told story. Not one that gets any less impressive, though. If it did, his Who Is The Sky? Tour wouldn’t be receiving the sort of rave reviews it has, the sort of art-pop theatre fully befitting of Byrne’s status. Between visual art, storytelling, choreography and a bevy of tremendous music—both from Byrne’s solo catalogue and his Talking Heads work—it’s the sort of spectacle that Manchester’s O2 Apollo seldom gets to enjoy at this level.
