Halloween may be in the rearview now, but VENUS GRRRLS are keeping its restless spirit going. This is a band with a lot of noise being made about them, thanks to a blend of gothic rock, grunge and punk that’s built to blow on principle alone. When you consider the omnipresent fervour around each of those subcultures, it’s little wonder that VENUS GRRRLS only seem to be moving faster and faster. That’s been crystallised by their newest EP To Die As Lovers May, leading them into a 2027 no doubt blessed with untold opportunities. As they arrive at Liverpool’s O2 Academy 2, Maryleen headed down to check it out.
