Is there a more fittingly named venue for Frankie And The Witch Fingers to set up shop in than Strange Brew? A band like this, so rooted in dank garage-rock and psychedelia, intrinsically seems at home in a space that reflects their own self-proclaimed witchiness. This also happens to be Frankie And The Witch Fingers’ first time in Bristol, a week ahead of their new album Trash Classic and its interpretations of their always-moving sound. There’s just a lot of entertainment value at the confluence point of all those factors—a show befitting of its 300-odd capacity while being big and eruptive enough to still massive impress. Ross Peacey headed over for us to check it out.
