PHOTOS: The Plot In You – Academy, Manchester – 08/11/2025

It seems as though metalcore bands in 2025 made a vow between themselves to stack their UK support bills as high as humanly possible. All of them have tried to one-up the last, too, with The Plot In You’s current run making a tremendous case for it. You’ve already got one of the scene’s best-loved bands at the helm, who many will consider to be the most underrated name the genre currently has. To plenty, that’s a resounding win already. But then, there’s Currents onboard, who’ve been steady risers in metalcore for years with a significant following of their own. Then there’s Saosin, whose 2006 self-titled album was such a key piece of noughties post-hardcore. Topped off with Cane Hill, the nu-metalcore crushers who’ve waned in profile but not might, and that’s one pretty stellar evening for genre-junkies. Will Robinson went to catch the action in Manchester.
