PHOTOS: Rust & Mile End – The Golden Lion, Bristol – 05/09/2025

In Bristol’s The Golden Lion—which, for all intents and purposes, is basically just a pub—there’s a bit of a ruckus occurring on this Friday night. Granted, that’s not a new thing when even a quick scan down its event listings for the next few weeks would suggest that these are the boards of choice for some of music’s heavier up-and-comers. Thus, tonight, there’s a double-header of Canadian hardcore from Rust and Mile End, both of whom seem to really be getting the wheels rolling within their scene now. A full UK tour would certainly suggest it, and while there’s no shortage of beatdown merchants to keep the hardcore-lovers sated, these are two that are definitely worth paying some mind to.
