If you’re after a tour of vital new punk and hardcore, this one’s got it in spades. On one side, there’s Shooting Daggers, whose debut Love & Rage last year was an incendiary blast of queer revolution that lodged its creators among current punk’s most defiant voices. On the other, there’s Roman Candle, who’ve had slightly less movement lately, though if this debut UK tour and a recent signing to Sumerian is anything to go by (and their great new single Fire In The Night Sky Forever would say it is), they’re likely to be one of hardcore’s key new components in the coming months. Joining forces for this bill, they arrive in Bristol at The Louisiana, and Ross Peacey was there to check it out.
