This may very well be the last time you catch Dead Pony in venues this small. It probably should’ve happened already, in fact; they’re practically an inescapable component of British alt-rock at this point. At the same time, seeing a band this committed to their live game in such intimate climes will never not be fun. And that’s ultimately the kicker with Dead Pony—they’re meant to be fun. They’ve made no bones about that as their prime directive, leaning into nu-metal on their new EP Eat My Dust! to even further compound that. Thus, as they arrive in The Globe, the makings of a great time are there from the start. Even if you’ve seen them a million times by now (which, given their touring schedule, is very possible), Dead Pony always deliver. Ross Peacey headed down to check it out.
