The alternative scene is all the richer for artists like Ecca Vandal. She’s been around for a while and has racked up some decent notoriety for herself (an arena tour with Limp Bizkit will do that) without any sort of huge crossover or stab at the mainstream. At the same time, you figure she wouldn’t have it any other way. Brewing a concoction that throws in punk, alt-rock, hip-hop and more, the rate at which Ecca Vandal marches to her own drum is furious and full-force. This year’s sophomore album Looking For People To Unfollow only made that clearer, now with a UK tour to show off its full breadth. Maryleen headed to Manchester to check it out.
