We’re just ten days into the new year, and we already seem to have one of its defining bands ready to go. Lambrini Girls have been placed at the vanguard of riotous, throat-ripping punk since day dot, and have only made themselves more visible in that position. It’s sealed by their debut full-length Who Let The Dogs Out, an album which we’ve given our full thoughts on here, but TL;DR—it’s the perfect launchpad for what’ll be a momentous year for Lambrini Girls. This serves as the warmup, a run of record store shows and signings to stretch their legs in intimate climes that, by 2025’s end, they’ll have outgrown multiple times over. Their stop in Liverpool’s Rough Trade coincides with the album’s release date, perhaps even being the genesis point for Lambrini Girls’ all-star year? Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but nevertheless, Maryleen went down to catch UK punk’s newest frontrunners before their flight fully takes off.
